Tech that Works FOR You

With so many options available, it can be hard to figure out what technology to use and where to start. If you are at a loss of how to get started or what are some of the helpful apps out there, you don’t want to miss this Campfire Session at ELEVATE.

This Campfire Session “Tech that Works FOR You” will be facilitated by Paige Tisdale with Dennis’ 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center on Monday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. on the ELEVATE Expo show floor.

“Technology is ever evolving and it’s helpful to know what new tools can help save you time and money while out in the field,” Tisdale says.

These Campfire Sessions have space for about 25 people so you can have intimate conversation-focused sessions.

Tisdale will also lead the discussion on some of the best practices when it comes to implementing these apps into your business. She points out that most apps are free, so it doesn’t hurt to download them and see if they fit with your style and business model. It’s always a good practice to stay on your toes and try new things for efficiency and improvement.

“Small group testing is best before implementing to the entire company,” she says. “You want to make sure you are setting your crews up for success and giving them reliable tools.”

When it comes to how long you should test out an app before deciding if it’s a good fit or not, Tisdale says this will vary depending on how much a hinderance it is to your operations.

“Design apps can take a while to figure out, slowing your process down, but once they are figured out they can often save valuable time with smooth processes,” she says. “The question is…how much patience do you have to learn new technology?”

Tisdale says if you’re looking for some apps to try out, come to the session and find out.
