If you want to go behind the scenes with a landscape company that has grown rapidly from a single-location landscape construction provider to a multi-site operation offering landscape maintenance, you don’t want to miss On Tour held during ELEVATE, presented by NALP and powered by Cat.
This exclusive facility tour with Sunrise Landscape, based in Tampa, Florida, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, and will include interactive tour stops and candid discussions with Sunrise’s leaders.
“We are looking forward to hosting an On Tour because it is a unique opportunity to give back to the industry, share ideas, and connect with other leaders who are passionate about growing strong landscape businesses,” says Austin Ashmore, CEO of Sunrise. “We are proud of what Sunrise has built, but we also know that this industry gets better when companies are willing to share lessons learned and learn from one another.”
Sunrise Landscape is a full-service commercial landscape company that has been serving Florida since 1978. They have an annual revenue of $112 million and 1,300 employees. Their services include landscape maintenance, installation, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
“Clients choose Sunrise because they want a partner they can trust to be proactive, responsive, and accountable,” Ashmore says. “In our industry, clients often feel the difference in communication before they see the difference in the landscape itself. We work hard to create a client experience that is professional, organized, and solutions-oriented, while also delivering strong landscape results over time.”
Sunrise specifically seeks to work with clients who value partnerships and care about the appearance and long-term performance of their properties.
“Our goal is not simply to maintain landscapes,” Ashmore says. “It is to help clients create outdoor environments that reflect the quality of their properties and support their long-term goals.”
Since Ashmore purchased the company in 2019, the business has scaled rapidly through acquisitions and shifting their focus to maintenance.

“The biggest contributor to Sunrise Landscape’s success has been a long-term commitment to building the business the right way through people, processes, and partnership,” Ashmore says. “Growth is important, but sustainable growth only happens when there is a strong foundation behind it. Sunrise has continued to invest in leadership, operations, training, and client relationships, which has allowed the company to expand while maintaining a clear sense of who we are and how we work.”
Sunrise’s core strengths are adaptability and accountability.
“As we have grown, we have learned that long-term success is not about assuming you have every answer,” Ashmore says. “It is about being willing to evaluate challenges honestly, respond to change, and keep improving. Our team works hard to stay flexible, learn quickly, and make thoughtful adjustments that support both our people and our clients.”
Ashmore says they train their team members with hands-on instruction and reinforcement to ensure they are able to maintain consistent, quality work.
Another unique aspect of Sunrise is their sales approach with co-selling. Ashmore says by involving branch leaders and key operational team members in the sales process, they bring a broader perspective to the conversation and help clients see the depth behind our team.
“This collaborative approach builds trust, strengthens alignment, and leads to more thoughtful solutions,” Ashmore says.
Sunrise’s culture supports both performance and people. They maintain connections across the state through consistent communication, shared wins, celebrations and internal updates.
“At Sunrise, culture is not treated as a side initiative,” Ashmore says. “It is part of how we lead, hire, train, recognize, communicate, and grow.”
During the tour, attendees will have the chance to learn about Sunrise’s approach to:
- Strategic growth and acquisitions
- Organic growth
- Accountability via KPIs
- Integration, scaling and standardization
- Recruiting and retention
- Maintenance operations
- Installation operations
One of the biggest lessons Sunrise wants to share is how growth and professionalism are built by intentionally creating repeatable systems, having strong leaders, accountability and a willingness to keep improving.
“We also hope attendees leave encouraged to think beyond day-to-day operations and consider how culture, communication, training, and long-term planning shape the future of a business,” Ashmore says. “Our goal is not to present Sunrise as perfect. It is to share what has worked, what we have learned, and how investing in the fundamentals can create lasting impact.”
