In the 17th episode of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Miles Kuperus III, system architect at Include Software, Neal Glatt, managing partner of GrowTheBench, Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape, and Luke Melograno, production coordinator at Mariani Landscape talked to Richard Kuperus with Farmside Landscape and Design.

Richard is Kuperus’s younger brother and has grown up in the landscaping industry since he was a kid, being part of the family business at Farmside Landscape and Design. Richard’s love for the outdoors has driven him to pursue a bachelor’s in landscape industry at Rutgers University and is looking to graduate this fall. Currently, Richard is working part-time and taking classes, leading the detail/pruning and snow crews at Farmside.

In this podcast, Richard discusses what it is like working for his family’s company and working with his brother. They also chatted about the nature of being in business with family members and how relationships will change as you move through the ranks of the company.
