The Bigger Picture with Sales and Marketing with Vanessa McQuade and Rob Murray: Season 3: Episode 31 of Growing in the Green Industry Podcast

In season 3, episode 31 of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Brett Lemcke of R.M. Landscape and Neal Glatt with GrowTheBench talk to Vanessa McQuade, senior account executive and owner, and Rob Murray, CEO and co-owner of Intrigue Media, a digital marketing company that has been empowering and growing businesses in the home improvement space for the last 14 years.

As part owner of Intrigue, McQuade has had the opportunity over the last 10 years to help businesses get noticed and found by their A-clients. She and the team at Intrigue have found a niche in helping landscapers in different regions increase the quality of leads (not just quantity), provide more consistent leads throughout the year, and help showcase these great companies to attract the right A-Team members.

Murray is the co-founder and CEO of Intrigue Media. Intrigue has been on Canada’s Growth 500 list for four years, is a Google Premier Partner and is Facebook Certified. Murray directs the organizational vision, works with clients to grow their businesses, and ensures that Intrigue has the right people and the right tools to get results.

In this podcast, McQuade and Murray discuss the bigger picture with sales and marketing. They talk about digital marketing and making the communication shift from company-centric, and solution-oriented to customer-centric, and program-oriented with their content. They also talk about the steps to help contractors get past pushing marketing off year after year as well as how to get started with their marketing efforts with starting small and how not to overwhelm themselves.
