Stepping Up with Britt Wood: Season 2, Episode 1 of Growing in the Green Industry Podcast

Hosts Miles Kuperus III, system architect at Include Software and Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape, kick off the second season of Growing in the Green Industry Podcast with Britt Wood, CEO of the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

Wood is an association executive who has over 25 years of experience in association management. In his current role, he oversees NALP, which represents over 1 million landscape, lawn care, irrigation, and tree care professionals across the country. 

His other roles included serving as senior vice president of business development and industry relations for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, CEO of the Loss Prevention Foundation, and as vice president, industry programs and services for the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA). Wood also spent a large part of his early career with the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA). Wood earned his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and his master’s degree in business administration from the College of William & Mary.

In this podcast, hosts and Wood cover a lot of ground, including NALP’s role in supporting the landscape and lawn care industry and how young professionals can continue to engage with the association and with each other. Wood also shares some not-to-be-missed professional advice, including techniques and tips for navigating your career, building trust from your team and confidence in yourself, and creating the opportunities you want and the experiences you need.
