Girard earned her associate degree in science and mathematics before moving on to SUNY Cobleskill, where her love of science and botany could become one. After an internship with Longwood Gardens, she worked at Busch Gardens for five years. Next, she moved back home to Buffalo and joined R.M. Landscape as an area manager, where she manages crews, clients, and projects while also creating designs for customers. Girard has also recently engaged with NALP, specifically the Women in Landscape Network, which has brought a renewed sense of purpose to her life.
In this podcast, Girard describes her unique career path, which includes stops at Longwood Gardens and Busch Gardens Tampa, including details of some amazing live plant displays and lessons in going for what you want and living your passion.
