Putting in the Time and $$: A Commitment to Continuing Education with Palmer Higgins: Episode 42 of Growing in the Green Industry Podcast

Growing in the Green Industry

In the 42nd episode of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Miles Kuperus III, system architect at Include Software, Neal Glatt, managing partner of GrowTheBench and Luke Melograno, production coordinator at Mariani Landscape talk with Palmer Higgins, CEO of Mainely Grass, a New England lawn care company.

Higgins first entered the landscaping and lawn care space when he, along with his brother and sister-in-law, purchased Seabreeze Property Services, of Portland, Maine, back in 2015. Since then, they have gone on to acquire several additional companies in the lawn care and landscaping industry, one of which, Mainely Grass, Higgins stepped in to run as CEO in February of 2019.

Over the past two years, Higgins and his team have transformed the business in everything from planning and logistics to service offerings and reporting. In addition, one of Higginsā€™s main focuses has been training and education, one of the three core values at Mainely Grass. Itā€™s this commitment to training and education that has laid the foundation to build on both the knowledge base and customer service level needed to serve.

In this podcast, Higgins and the hosts take a deep dive into the importance of a consistent, comprehensive, and accountable training program, and how a focus on education helps elevate both your employees and your entire business.
