The Greenery, Inc. Promotes Rick Sotiropoulos

The Greenery, Inc.’s Rick Sotiropoulos has been promoted to Construction Business Development Director. In this new role, Sotiropoulos will help the company strengthen its current market impact and further develop into new and expanding markets with construction services.

Sotiropoulos has been with the company since 2015 as the pre-construction manager. As Construction Business Development Director, he will seek business opportunities, conduct market research, maintain and expand current client relationships throughout the various markets The Greenery serves.

“Rick has demonstrated tremendous leadership and business skills throughout his tenure with The Greenery,” says Lee Edwards, CEO of The Greenery. “We are confident in his ability to continue to develop and grow The Greenery’s construction services for our existing and future markets.”

Grunder Landscaping Co. Adds Alan Whitt

Alan Whitt has recently been added to Grunder Landscaping Co. as a group leader. As a group leader, Whitt provides leadership and direction to crews, schedules and coordinates jobs, and teaches team members skills and safety procedures.

Whitt has over 30 years of experience managing operations, installing landscapes and maintaining properties. He studied agriculture at The Ohio State University.

Davey Tree Experts Promote Two

Anna Davis

The Davey Tree Expert Company has promoted Anna Davis to vice president of human resources. She will maintain accountability for the overall administration, coordination and execution of human resources functions as well as leadership for the corporate recruiting and employee development group.

Davis started with Davey in 2002 as an employee records specialist. She has gone on to work in or lead every element of Davey’s human resources department. In 2018, she was promoted to director of human resources administration.

“Anna lives Davey’s values daily and sets a wonderful example for employees throughout the company,” says Greg Ina, executive vice president of The Davey Institute and employee development. “She has transformed our human resources department in many positive ways as director, and I look forward to seeing what continued success she brings to the company for the betterment of our employees and clients.”

She earned her bachelor’s degree in business and organizational communications from the University of Akron and she earned a master’s degree of business administration from Kent State University.

Davey also recently promoted Kris Bruestle to marketing manager for Ohio River Valley operations, residential/commercial services.

Bruestle joined Davey in 2006 as a project manager for Davey Resource Group in natural resources. In 2009 he joined residential/commercial services in the Columbus office and worked his way through a number of leadership positions. Most recently, he was promoted to district manager of Davey’s West Columbus residential/commercial office in 2017.

“Kris’ diligent pursuit of safe work conditions, recruitment and excellent client experience has led his office to many successes during his time as district manager,” says Jim Houston, vice president and general manager, Eastern operations, residential/commercial services. “Because of his drive and passion, he will benefit all the offices in the newly formed Ohio River Valley operating group, and I look forward to the success he brings the company and clients.”

Bruestle is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and has a bachelor’s degree in conservation biology from the University of Idaho.

STIHL Expands STIHL Northwest Branch

STIHL is expanding and relocating its Northwest branch operations with the opening of the new location in Centralia, Washington.

The new facility has significant warehouse space and technology upgrades to better serve the 500+ STIHL dealers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.

“The new facility more than doubles our warehouse square footage and gives us additional space for future growth,” says Casey Kralovetz, director of branch operations at STIHL Northwest. “STIHL dealers are the core of our business and the new location with improved efficiency of our warehouse operations enables us to deliver products to most of our dealers within 24 to 48 hours.”

Corona Tools Names New President of U.S. and Canada Operations

Eric Prendeville has been named the new president of Corona Tools.

Steve Erickson, the current president at Corona will be retiring effective June 1, 2021. Erickson had a nearly 29-year long career, leading and growing the business.

Prendeville has over 20 years of experience working with Stanley Black and Decker in several commercial and product development leadership positions. He studied at Salisbury University, Perdue School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in business management with a minor in communications.

“Eric is a great addition to Corona and we look forward to his leadership & experience in the U.S./Canada hand tools market as we continue to accelerate our global business growth by delivering world class solutions to our customers” says Tom Welke, CEO of Venanpri Group.
