Sperber Landscape Companies Partners with Crystal Greens Landscape Inc.

Sperber Landscape Companies (SLC) has partnered with Crystal Greens Landscape Inc., based in Clackamas, Oregon. This partnership marks SLC’s emergence into the Pacific Northwest marketplace.

Crystal Greens was founded in 1990 and has multiple facilities servicing the greater Portland, Vancouver and Salem metropolitan areas. Founder and CEO Pat Murphy will continue his leadership of the company along with general manager Jason Sutton.

“ā€œThis is literally a dream come true for us,” Murphy says. “I have spent many hours over the years studying the Sperber Familyā€™s business model, implementing similar best practices with our own flavor so it was an obvious choice. We are very excited to join SLC and continue to make a difference in the lives of people.”

ECHO Appoints Texas Outdoor Power Equipment in Exited Territory

ECHO Incorporated has announced Texas Outdoor Power Equipment (TOP Equipment) will serve the independent dealer network previously handled by Rental Distributing Company.

After serving the greater Houston, Texas area for over five decades, the owner of Rental Distributing Company, Danny Alley, has retired and elected to close the business. The company has been a distributor of ECHO Incorporated for more than 51 years.

 ā€œWe would like to thank Rental Distributing for many years of excellent and dedicated service to the ECHO brands and to the dealer network,ā€ says Tim Dorsey, president of ECHO Incorporated. ā€œWe would also like to thank our valued dealer partners for their ongoing commitment to supporting our brands.ā€

TOP Equipment operates from its headquarters in Georgetown, Texas and is one of the largest distributors of ECHO and Shindaiwa brand outdoor power equipment. They have been an ECHO dealer since they opened in 1986 and is a power equipment distributor in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.

STIHL Announces New Branch Director and Director of Sales.

Casey McGrath

STIHL has named Casey McGrath the branch director at Pacific STIHL in Visalia, California. He will be responsible for the sales, distribution and service of all products, parts and accessories at the company-owned branch. McGrath will also direct the development of marketing and advertising plans for the territory including California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam.

McGrath served in this role from January 2010 to May 2012. He is replacing Murray Bishop, who has been promoted to Director of Sales at STIHL Inc.

ā€œIt will be my pleasure to once again work with the dealers and personnel of Pacific STIHL,ā€ says McGrath. ā€œI look forward to building on the work of Murray Bishop and the entire Pacific STIHL team to continue to deliver excellent service to our dealer network.ā€

McGrath began his career with STIHL in 1993 as a territory manager at STIHL distributor Bryan Equipment Sales. He moved up into other roles and following his time at Bryan Equipment he was named branch director at Pacific STIHL and was most recently branch director at Northeast STIHL.

Murray Bishop

ā€œWe are excited to have Casey back in this position,ā€ says Nick Jiannas, vice president of sales and marketing at STIHL Inc. ā€œHis familiarity with the staff, dealer network and the territory at Pacific STIHL will make for a smooth transition as well as a successful and stable environment.ā€As for Murray Bishop, he has been with STIHL for 21 years. In his new role of Director of Sales, he will manage the continued growth of the STIHL brand and be responsible for product sales and distribution in the U.S. He is taking on Steve Meriamā€™s role, who retired after a 35-year career with STIHL.

ā€œIā€™m looking forward to building on STIHLā€™s history of success,ā€ Bishop says. ā€œAs we grow the business, we will continue to deliver the quality products and services that STIHL Dealers have always relied on, while also developing new sales opportunities through innovative product launches and enhanced sales channels.ā€

Bishop started with STIHL in 1999 as a manager of finished goods. Since then he has served as warehouse operations manager, senior manager of export and logistics, and director of information services. He was the branch director for Pacific STIHL since 2017.

McHale Announces New Position: Director of Business Operations and Modernization

Barrett Wolf

McHale Landscape Design, Inc has created a new position at their corporate facility in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Barrett Wolf will take on the new role of Director of Business Operation and Modernization. He will report to ownership and the executive team. Wolf is responsible for culture management, systems evaluation, financial and administrative management and developing long-term strategies for modern business development and strategic initiatives.

Wolf has an MBA in finance and ten years of experience in the private equity industry.

ā€œBarrett is an intelligent, analytical thinker who not only understand the financial side of the business but also appreciates the positive impact of human capital,ā€ says Steve McHale, vice president of the company.
