Anthony Cusat has been promoted from senior landscape architect to director of design in McHale’s Virginia division. Cusat graduated from Penn State with degrees in landscape contracting and landscape.

He moved through the ranks working on many projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Many of his projects have been recognized by NALP and the Landscape Contractors Association (LCA)

“Utilizing my passion for drawing and visualization has provided me with a unique opportunity to create outdoor living spaces that impact and improve the lives of our clients,” Cusat says. “I am humbled and grateful for this platform to be able to challenge myself and those on my team for continual growth, both personally and professionally.”

Landscape Workshop Acquires Great Oak Landscape Group

Landscape Workshop recently acquired the landscape maintenance and enhancement operations of Great Oak Landscape Group based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Great Oak founder Tim Christie will be joining the Landscape Workshop team as the general manager of Atlanta operations. Christie started his company in 2000 in his garage. He grew the business to three locations in greater Atlanta and built a reputation of superior customer service and integrity.

“I’m excited to stay on in my new role as general manager for Landscape Workshop and to expand on what Great Oak Landscape Group has accomplished in the Atlanta market,” Christie says. “The people I know at Landscape Workshop share the same values of customer service and responsiveness that my team and I do, and I know we will be a good fit.”

This addition has allowed Landscape Workshop to have 10 branch locations throughout the Southeast now.

“We are incredibly excited to have Tim and his team of talented managers and landscapers join Landscape Workshop,” says J. T. Price, Landscape Workshop’s CEO.  “Tim worked with several of LW’s operational leaders in the past, and as we saw the way Tim built his business, we knew we wanted him on our team.”
