Mariani Landscape Acquires Ed Castro Landscape
Mariani Landscape has acquired Ed Castro Landscape as part of their national expansion. The company is working to become the top landscaping company focused primarily on the residential market.

Ed Castro Landscape is the ninth family-owned residential landscape company to join Mariani.

Ed Castro Landscape was founded by Ed Castro in 1992. Based in Roswell, Georgia, they provide landscape construction, maintenance and related services year-round. They serve high-net-worth private residences and state and local government locations like parks, airports and government buildings.

Massey Servicesā Founder Passes Away
Harvey Massey, founder and chairman of Massey Services, passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2023, at the age of 81.

Massey purchased his own business in 1985 after working for Orkin and Terminix International.
He bought a 50-year-old pest and termite company for $3.9 million and grew it to a $350 million business in 2023. He never wanted to be the biggest company; he simply wanted to be the best.
He was committed to customer satisfaction and was the first in the industry to offer a money-back guarantee in the early 90s. Massey was a strong philanthropist and served on many boards. He was known for his thoughtful leadership, drive and compassion.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Massey, their three children and ten grandchildren.
BrightView Acquires Smithās Tree Care
BrightView has acquired Smithās Tree Care, Inc., based in Newport News, Virginia.

Smithās Tree Care was founded in 2005 by Dave Smith and provides tree care, tree trimming and pruning, tree removal and stump grinding. The companyās addition complements BrightViewās existing tree care services in the greater Hampton Roads market. Smith says BrightView was a logical next step that puts them in the best position to grow the business.

Sperber Landscape Companies Partners with Ultimate Innovations
Sperber Landscape Companies has expanded into Honolulu with Ultimate Innovations, making it the fourth Hawaiian company in their portfolio.
