Landscape Workshop Acquires Maintenance Operations of Bailey’s Lawn Care & Landscaping

Landscape Workshop recently acquired the landscape maintenance operations of Bailey’s Lawn Care and Landscaping based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Founded in 2010 by Hunter Bailey, Bailey’s Lawn Care and Landscaping offers landscape maintenance and landscape installation services to the greater Knoxville area. After a short transition period with Landscape Workshop, Bailey will continue operating the installation portion of his business.

“I know that Landscape Workshop is an exceptional company that will provide excellent service to all the customers that we have come to know and care for over the past 10 years,” Bailey says. “Landscape Workshop is a very professional company and they have my utmost respect. I look forward to working with them over the next 2 months to ensure a smooth transition.”

Landscape Workshop’s Scott Ragsdale will continue as general manager of Knoxville operations and our current senior leadership will remain consistent within the combined organization. A number of Bailey’s maintenance crew members will join the Landscape Workshop team.

Pacific Landscape Management Expands to Seattle Market

Pacific Landscape Management, based in Hillsboro, Oregon, is expanding to the Puget Sound region by partnering with Earthworks Landscape Services and the commercial landscape maintenance division of His Hands Lawn Care.

After caring for the Portland Vancouver area for the past 22 years, many Portland customers with properties in the Puget Sound market inquired if Pacific would maintain their Seattle properties as well. Pacific set a strategic objective in 2021 to grow into the greater Seattle area.

“I am proud of our many long-standing relationships in Portland and was always honored to be encouraged to expand into the Puget Sound region,” says Bob Grover, president of Pacific Landscape Management. “As our team grew and client relationships expanded, expansion to the Puget Sound market became a natural next step for our organization. We are excited to partner with the Earthworks and His Hands teams to bring our service to the Puget Sound region.”

In preparation of this expansion, Tom DiMeco and Frank Corzine have also joined the Pacific Management Team.

Earthworks Landscape Services has served the area for over 50 years and president Mike Moshcatel is taking this as an opportunity to retire.

“I am excited to have my team join Pacific and am confident that this is a great move for our company, our team, and our customers,” Moshcatel says.

His Hands Lawn Care has served the region and the peninsula since 1995, providing landscape installation and maintenance as well as snow and ice services. They have strategically decided to focus on their core competency of landscape installation.

“We have worked with Tom DiMeco for several years and when this opportunity with Pacific presented itself, we immediately determined it was a great move for us and our maintenance staff and customers,” says Charlie Orozco, president of His Hands Lawn Care.

Earthworks and the maintenance division of His Hands will serve Pacific’s regional customers and provides career opportunities for their team and the teams joining. Pacific now has five branch locations and 150 professionals to serve the Puget Sound region.

Companies Join Davey Tree and Davey Resource Group

ClearWater Services, based in Nashville, Tennessee, has joined The Davey Tree Expert Company. ClearWater provides installation and maintenance of residential and commercial irrigation systems and landscape lighting to customers in Nashville and the surrounding area. ClearWater and its eight employees will join Davey’s Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) line.

“Joining Davey Tree will give ClearWater and our clients the advantage of Davey’s additional service offerings, extensive knowledge of the industry and added support from the Davey team,” says Paul Lindquist, owner of ClearWater. “Davey values education and expertise, so I am excited to witness what our employees can learn from Davey’s leading diagnostic and research facility the Davey Institute, and how this additional scientific knowledge will benefit our clients.”

Meanwhile, BDY Environmental, based in Nashville, Tennessee, has joined the Davey Resource Group, a subsidiary of The Davey Tree Expert Company. BDY employees will have tremendous opportunities to grow in their careers and expand their knowledge, as well as become employee-owners.”

Also, Matthew C. Harris has been elected to the Board of Directors for The Davey Tree Expert Company. He previously served as the CEO of the Arbor Day Foundation. Harris served in that role from 2014 to January 2022. He served as president of the Arbor Day Foundation from 2007 to 2014 and as senior vice president from 2003 to 2007.

“Davey Tree has been a partner with the Arbor Day Foundation for many years, so we already have a very strong relationship with Matt,” says Pat Covey, chairman, president and CEO of Davey Tree. “He has a good understanding of Davey culture and expert knowledge of the arboriculture industry from his time at Arbor Day, so he will be a great addition to our board.”
