Brooklawn Services Acquires Chemscape, Inc.

Brooklawn Services based in Muncie, Indiana, recently acquired Chemscape, Inc. a lawn and landscape maintenance company out of Montpelier, Indiana.

Jason Brooks, president and founder of Brooklawn Service, and Troy Batten, owner of Chemscape, Inc., discussed a possible merger in late 2019 as Batten considered retirement. It was decided in 2020 that Brooklawn would purchase the company and combine Chemscapeā€™s team and client base with Brooklawn, after concluding they share similar values of excellent customer service.

ā€œBrooklawn Services has always been dedicated to serving customers with honesty, pride, professionalism, and safety,ā€ Brooks says. ā€œAfter getting to know Troy, it was apparent that he and his team operated in the same manner. By merging the expertise and resources of two teams into one company, focused on a personalized approach to lawn and tree care services, we will be able to provide an enhanced customer experience!ā€

Brooklawn will add Kevin Stultz from Chemscape to their office staff along with office manager Kathy Richman and five licensed lawn care technicians. This acquisition expands the reach of Brooklawn from just south of Ft. Wayne down to the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Brooklawn was established in January 2015 when Brooks purchased a Pendleton, Indiana, lawn care company and combined it with the lawn care division of his company Jay-Crew Landscape, Inc.

WorkWave Acquires Customer Call Center Software Slingshot

WorkWave has recently acquired Slingshot, a provider of customer call center software combined with outsourced sales, lead and customer response services.

This acquisition furthers WorkWaveā€™s mission to be the only partner to field service companies able to drive every aspect of their business to new levels of success. Slingshot delivers call center software capable of interacting with customers across multiple methods of communication from phone and SMS to email and chatbot.

This not only improves sales but the overall customer experience. Users can use this platform and the Slingshot team to outsource their sales operations and bring in new customers regularly. It empowers companies that might not have the resources to drive growth.

For small businesses, Slingshotā€™s direct sales team can close sales on their behalf and for larger companies, they provide extra resources to handle the influx of customer calls during the busy season.

Users of Slingshot can boost their conversion rates by 60 percent by responding to leads via different methods and convert calls after normal business hours.

ā€œThe need to grow their business ā€” to attract, retain, and maximize each customer relationship ā€” is what keeps every field service owner and executive awake at night,ā€ says David F. Giannetto, CEO of WorkWave. ā€œSlingshot is not just the market leader at helping its customers grow, it is the only organization of its kind in our industry that has a proven track record of using omni-channel communication software to close more deals for its customers. By bringing such an outstanding organization into WorkWave, we will be able to provide unique integrations into our solutions that will increase the unparalleled advantage our customers have over their competition, reinforcing that WorkWave is the premier partner to service organizations.ā€
