Argonne Capital Group Invests in Schill Grounds Management
Argonne Capital Group has made a controlling investment in Schill Grounds Management, a privately held commercial landscaping company based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Proceeds from the investment funded shareholder liquidity and the acquisition of McCoy Landscape Services, a complimentary landscaping company based in Marion, Ohio. This will allow Argonne and Schill to make additional investments in the fragmented commercial landscaping industry.
Jerry Schill founded the company more than two decades ago and he will continue to serve as CEO and maintain a meaningful ownership stake. Schill Grounds Management has added multiple locations in Northeast Ohio providing year-round landscaping and snow and ice removal services to over 700 multi-family, commercial, office, healthcare and industrial properties.

Argonne says it was attracted to the commercial landscape market because of its recurring non-discretionary revenue model, fragmentation and natural resistance to economic cycles. In partnership with Shill, the private investment firm is seeking additional acquisitions in the commercial landscaping industry.

Vectorworks to Host First Virtual Vectorworks Design Day
Vectorworks Design Day will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020. The event will educate users on the new Vectorworks 2021 features, as well as have live and on-demand presentations and discussions. Registration is free and the event will last two hours.

Grunder Landscaping Co. Adds Jon Steinbrunner to the Team
Jon Steinbrunner has been added to Grunder Landscaping Co.’s team of landscape designers. Steinbrunner has over 10 years of experience designing, selling and building landscapes and hardscapes. He has a degree in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University. Grunder says with his robust horticultural knowledge and portfolio of design-build and landscape contracting projects, he will be an asset to the company’s clients and prospects.
