In season 3, episode 1 of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, host Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape talks with Bob Mann, director of state and local government relations for NALP.

Prior to joining NALP, Mann was a thirty-year-plus veteran of the professional lawn care industry. A native of Duxbury, Massachusetts, Mann graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture with a degree in Turf Management and from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in agricultural economics.

Mann has been privileged to represent the landscape industry in many public forums and most recently Mann was appointed to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Pesticide Program Dialog Committee, a forum for a diverse group of stakeholders to provide feedback to EPA on various pesticide regulatory, policy, and program implementation issues.

In this podcast, Mann talks about the EPA changing the paradigm of how they are evaluating pesticides and how they are looking at pesticides under the Endangered Species Act. He also touches on strategies on how the green industry can be more engaged in the political process. Mann talks about what you can do to get more involved and the big threats that our industry is facing right now.
