Johnsen taught at Columbia University for many years and still teaches at the New York Botanical Garden where she was named ā€œInstructor of the Year.ā€ Trained in landscape architecture and professional horticulture, Johnsen has worked in Japan, Hawaii, and Kenya, among other places. She is an inspiring speaker and loves to show how you can ā€œco-create with natureā€ in your backyard.

In this podcast, Johnsen talks about defining your market niche and how important referrals are. They talk about building strong relationships as well as touching on the labor shortages that so many are facing in the green industry.
