In season 3, episode 48 of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Miles Kuperus III, with Include Software, Brett Lemcke with R.M. Landscape, talk to Patrick Henry, COO of Monarchchem.
Henry was a Nashville songwriter and performer on the SiriusXM Radio Comedy channels before COVID shut down the country and he was out of a job. He ended up joining his college roommate and a retired 75-year-old chemist in founding Monarchchem, the makers of the eco-friendly herbicide, Lonarch.
Henry helped grow the company from registration to retail and since that day, three years ago, they have built a nationwide distribution network including the biggest retailers in the country. Henry believes that a successful company puts passion over profits, mission over merchandise, and firmly believes that if you can’t create an emotional connection with your customers, you’ll lose them.
In this podcast, Henry shares his perspective on herbicides and finding alternatives for your customers. He also talks about the market changing and educating people on the subject.
