In the ninth episode of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Neal Glatt, managing partner of GrowTheBench, Luke Melograno, production coordinator at Mariani Landscape and Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape spoke with Cole Weller, co-founder of Weller Brothers, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Weller started his company with his brother Brent in 2001. He attended Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls where he studied landscape design. The company has two branches with Cole running the Sioux Falls location and Brent running the location in Rochester, Minnesota.
In this podcast, Weller chats about working with his brother, the nature of family business and his involvement with NALP. Weller says his membership began to pay off when they started participating more and networking. He says he’s learned that there are different employee milestones you have to reach in order to continue to grow. Weller says they focus on getting the right people in place and then the growth and profits will follow.
