Casting a Vision and Leaving a Legacy with Zech Strauser: Episode 23 of Growing in the Green Industry Podcast

In the 23rd episode of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Miles Kuperus III, system architect at Include Software, Neal Glatt, managing partner of GrowTheBench, and Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape talked to Zech Strauser, founder and owner of Strauser Nature’s Helpers.

Strauser Nature’s Helpers (SNH) was founded in 1998 and serves commercial Class A and HOA properties throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York from its locations in East Stroudsburg, Lehigh Valley, and Lancaster.

Strauser is SNH’s ‘chief inspiration officer’ and is always finding ways to do things better at his company. He believes in inspiring from the top down but leading from the bottom up, resulting in employee engagement. His company’s goals include to lead by example in all things sustainable, to inspire his region-wide team to be all they can be, to drive a vision that produces positive results, and to bring more innovation to opportunity.

In this podcast, Strauser discussed his company’s eco-focus and how it’s much more than the public’s common perception of sustainability. He says they’ve experienced better growth, retention and profits because they are mission-driven now. He also talks about how he has to balance between serving customers’ current wants and converting them to more sustainable solutions.
