In season 2, episode 30 of the Growing in the Green Industry Podcast, hosts Miles Kuperus III, system architect at Include Software, Neal Glatt, managing partner of GrowTheBench, Brett Lemcke, VP of R.M. Landscape and Luke Melograno, production coordinator at Mariani Landscape, and Macey Robinson with LandCare, talk with Marshall Jones, landscape design account manager with Valley Landscaping, in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Jones is a two-time Virginia Tech graduate with an associate degree in agricultural technology and a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture along with a turfgrass management minor. He was one of the few students who was lucky enough to attend NCLC for 4 years.

He started landscaping when he was about 14 and now works for Valley Landscaping. In the next few years, he plans to receive a license as a landscape architect and a long way down the road, he hopes to one day design and construct golf courses. Ā 

In this podcast, Jones talks about what it takes to have the skill set of account management and taking the time and the importance of understanding what you are selling. He also touches on the stress over meeting your sales goals.Ā
