Mariani Landscape was founded in 1958 by Mariani’s father, Vito Mariani, Sr. The company started as a small residential landscape maintenance firm that worked in Chicago’s North Shore. Now the company specializes in high-end residential landscape architecture, construction and garden maintenance. Mariani serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Landscape Professionals and is the president of NALP’s Foundation Board.

In this podcast, Mariani shares his career path and how he took on leading the company. He talks about what drives him and what company milestones matter to him. Mariani discusses the importance of having a strategic plan and career paths for employees, regardless of the company’s size. He also highlights some of the influential people who have helped the company grow.
