Last year, we changed the annual Supplier Summit to just one day, but it’s back to three days of great networking and interaction. But don’t worry, it’s not all work. The first day is an optional round of golf followed by a happy hour. That ought to get us all off to a great start!
As the new chair of the Supplier Committee, I’m excited about the agenda for the summit. As a supplier myself (VP at Include Software), I can tell you this is truly an event that should not be missed by green industry suppliers. This is our opportunity to exercise our collective voice in the organization and shape future policies, agendas, and most importantly, our bottom lines. Some of the important topics we’ll be delving into include:
• Political and legislative issues
• State & allied regional associations
• Using social media
• New benefits for suppliers
• Engagement & access to PLANET members
• Putting the “green” back in the “Green Industry”
Many of these discussions will be roundtables led by us, the suppliers ourselves, so we’ll be able to drive the discussions in the directions that make the most sense for us. I hope you all have the opportunity to start thinking about some of these topics. I’m sure we’ll have lively discussions, as usual.
