2017 Public Policy Agenda and New Position Statements

In December, members of NALP’s Public Affairs Advisory Council met on Capitol Hill to finalize the association’s 2017 Public Policy Agenda, which was created from input provided from NALP members at large.

The Council also drafted new position statements on a variety of industry issues which will allow professionals and staff to speak in a unified voice on issues of policy importance. In addition, the Council also produced a new document – a list of “core beliefs.” These messages help explain principles of importance to industry professionals.

All of these messages were approved in December by NALP’s Board of Directors.  You can find links to all the documents on the advocacy section of NALP’s website.  Watch for additional information in the coming weeks and months on these tools and others as NALP works to expand the resources available for members to be effective industry advocates.
