NALP Members in the News: BrightView launches Property Maintenance Interface

BrightView Holdings announced the launch of BrightView (BV) Connect, an interface for property maintenance engagement.BV Connect virtually connects the customer with BrightViewā€™s service team to deliver what the company calls a more seamless property management experience. This web application enables customers to submit and track requests for landscape services, keep track of property maintenance schedules, submit photo service requests and receive timely updates from BrightView account managers. The BV Connect dashboard provides real-time weather-related communication and active maintenance requests at a glance. The portal also pushes out notifications when client request and the company updates and resolves them.

NALP Members in the News: Bartlett Tree Experts and Reidā€™s Tree Care Join Forces

Bartlett Tree Experts acquired Reidā€™s Tree Care in Ohio. Tom Reid founded Reidā€™s Tree Care in 1977 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and his wife Sally Futrell joined him in 1980. Reidā€™s and Bartlett share similar values of scientific tree care and a strong focus on outstanding client service. Reidā€™s teammates have become members of the Bartlett team in Cleveland, led by Chad Clink, who continues to grow Bartlettā€™s Cleveland operations.

NALP Members in the News: Green Lawn Fertilizing Named Best Place to Work

The Philadelphia Business Journalā€™s 2019 Best Places to Work list featured Green Lawn Fertilizing and Green Pest Solutions for the first time. The award recognizes companies in the greater Philadelphia area who create positive work environments for employees.

In order to qualify for the Best Place to Work award, Green Lawn Fertilizing needed over 80 team members to complete the survey, over half the company. The Philadelphia Business Journal picked winners for four different staff sizes: 10-50 employees, 51-100 employees, 101-1,000 employees and 1,001+ employees. Green Lawn Fertilizing/Green Pest Solutions was one of the select 101-1,000 employee winners.

Every year, the Philadelphia Business Journal seeks out the top places to work across the entire greater Philadelphia region. For 2019, they accepted a record number of nominations. They later conducted a survey from April 22 until May 24. Quantum Workplace sent the survey to all employees from the nominated companies. Each nominee had to have at least half of their workforce complete the survey to be eligible. The survey asked employees to rate their company on the following categories: 

  • Work environment
  • Personal growth
  • Professional development
  • People
  • Embracing change/new ideas

NALP Members in the News: Water & Sustainability Innovation Award Nominations Open

Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply and Audubon International are now accepting nominations for the 2020 Water & Sustainability Innovation Award through Sept. 13, 2019. Ewing and Audubon will bring the winner to Phoenix in January for an award ceremony. They will also produce a video about the winning project, among other prizes. Ewing and Audubon created the Water & Sustainability Innovation Award to recognize projects including landscapes, parks and other green spaces that contribute to more sustainable communities with an emphasis on water efficiency. There is no cost for submissions, but projects must have been supplied in part by Ewing to be eligible.
