Member Action Still Needed on H-2B

NALP thanks our many members who reached out to their Representatives and asked them to sign a bipartisan letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. The letter included the signatures of 65 Members of Congress. If your Representative signed the letter, please follow up and say thank you.

To get cap relief signed into law, however, our Congressional outreach must continue.Ā  Right now, we have a golden opportunity for you to directly connect with your members of Congress. All Senators and Representatives will be in their home states through November 27.Ā  Please call or visit in person with your Senators and Representatives at their district offices.Ā  Phone calls and visits to the district office while your elected officials are home will help amply our message that we need 2018 cap relief now!

You can find the local contact information for your Senators and Representative on their websites. If you are not sure how to find the correct website, you can locate it by entering your mailing address at www.house.gov for your representative and www.senate.gov for your senators. Please stress the need for Congress to include H-2B cap relief in any year-end spending bill or any other appropriate legislation.Ā  Stress the importance of H-2B workers to your business, your American workforce and the local community.Ā  You can also continue to use our online NALP Member Advocacy Center to quickly email, send a tweet, or post to the official Facebook page of your members of Congress. Please also encourage your colleagues, employees, vendors and customers to send similar messages using the custom alerts that are available in the Advocacy Center.
