Wow! Yesterday was the first day of Student Career Days and there was so much enthusiasm and energy! Of course, SCD is an excellent opportunity to meet other students of the green industry as well as with employers, but this year has had an unprecedented amount of energy and enthusiasm! The Opening Ceremonies was extremely exciting to be instructed by industry celebrity P. Allen Smith. In addition, the cheers that the different schools had were very energizing and reflected the enthusiasm for the industry.
The career fair was also an excellent opportunity to meet and get reacquainted with quality companies and their representatives. It was yet another time when I realized how fortunate I am to be in an industry that is thriving dispite the economic downturn. The way companies are inovating how they approach things is excellent, and I love how willing everyone is to help out. Again, it helped motivate me when I am in the position to help students out.
