Being recognized as an award winning company has its perks. Aside from impressing customers and creating a sense of pride among staff, the exposure award winning companies receive in the media is invaluable. In addition to Awards of Excellence winners being featured in The Landscape Professional, on landscapeprofessionals.org, and on NALP’s consumer site loveyourlandscape.org, winners can frequently be found in national trade press. Most recently, award winning companies Chapel Valley Landscape Company, Ed Castro Landscape, and Lawns of Dallas were featured in Southern Living’s story on Amazing Southern Lawns.

You can capitalize too

Generating media exposure through your national lawn and landscape trade association isn’t the only way to draw attention to your award winning status. Don’t be shy and publish a press release as Lambert Landscape Company did. As a result the Dallas Morning News picked up their news release and ran a full-page spread on one of their projects. You can’t buy that kind of publicity.  NALP provides members with a press release template and free access to a Public Relations Adviser.

By entering the NALP Awards of Excellence you can improve employee morale, excite customers, and cultivate business momentum. Tips, eligibility criteria and more can be found on the NALP Awards of Excellence page. Entries in all categories are encouraged, especially projects under $25k and lawn care.
